Blessing Offor plays a Soulful Set While Opening For Zach Williams

By Tammy Hua

Singer and song-writer, Blessing Offor, is currently still on tour with Christian country artist, Zach Williams. The two stopped by the City National Grove of Anaheim and gave their audience a soulful performance of great vocals backed by a live band.

Blessing Offor is a Christian artist born in Nigeria and raised in Connecticut. After losing sight in both eyes as a child, Blessing continued to follow his passion and gift for music. He’s currently based in Music City itself, Nashville, Tennessee as a singer, songwriter, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He recently released his debut full-length album, My Tribe, which perfectly blends sounds of soul, RnB, and pop. Following this release he joined Zach on his “A Hundred Highways” tour, performing music from his new album for live audiences.

Blessing opened for Zach, providing a soulful experience for Orange County audiences. With his faith being a major factor in his music, he immediately connected with his audience through spirit and song. During his set he sang while playing the keys and was accompanied by his band, including a guitarist and drummer. His set included songs from his new album as well as other singles, including the collaboration song he did with TobyMac, “The Goodness.”

After Blessing’s performance, the headlining act started his set. Zach Williams' performance was accompanied by a full band, including horns, and grand stage lighting. He provided the audience of Anaheim an electric show while taking time out of his set to talk about his life, faith, and his journey into the music industry, shedding some tears along with his devout fans. For one of his songs he decided to take it down a notch and play it acoustically, inviting Blessing Offor to the stage to duet with him.

Blessing Offor is currently still touring with Zach Williams, you can catch them till mid-May as they hit their last stops in the midwest.
